Stranger Than Fanfiction- Chris Colfer (mini-review)

Stranger Than Fanfiction

Goodreads Description

Cash Carter is the young, world famous lead actor of the hit television Wiz Kids. When four fans jokingly invite him on a cross-country road trip, they are shocked that he actually takes them up on it. Chased by paparazzi and hounded by reporters, this unlikely crew takes off on a journey of a lifetime–but along the way they discover that the star they love has deep secrets he’s been keeping. What they come to learn about the life of the mysterious person they thought they knew will teach them about the power of empathy and the unbreakable bond of true friendship.

My Review

This book is basically about four friends that go on a road trip before college and their idol joins them and shows them a new world. There are POV’s from each of the characters including the actor.  It is pretty cliché in the whole life lessons thing and it has a lot of rep that would kind of be spoiler-ish. Basically, they all have secrets and with this roadtrip, they learn more about themselves. I listened to this book on audio and it was okay. It didn’t exactly grasp my attention and maybe 14  year old me would have loved reading something like this, but it just wasn’t for me as an adult.
